Frontend Engineer

Own marketing and in-product surfaces that turn complex health workflows into fast, trustworthy experiences—in Astro, React, and a growing design system.

Engineering Remote (US/Canada) Full-time

The role

You’ll shape what prospects and customers see first: crisp marketing pages, polished onboarding, and interactive pieces of the builder where teams design patient intake, routing, and checkout. We care about perceived performance, accessibility, and clarity—especially when the underlying flows are regulated and high-stakes.

What you’ll do

  • Ship and iterate on marketing pages in Astro, using React islands where we need rich interactivity (wizards, previews, embeds).
  • Build and refine UI in our monorepo (packages/ui, shared tokens) so product and marketing feel like one product.
  • Improve Core Web Vitals and bundle strategy—lazy boundaries, sensible prefetching, and honest loading states.
  • Partner with design on responsive layouts, motion, and form UX that works for patients and operators alike.
  • Participate in code review and help keep TypeScript and CSS patterns consistent across apps.

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years shipping frontend or full-stack work with a strong frontend lean—or equivalent depth if your path is nontraditional.
  • Solid TypeScript and modern CSS (layout, responsive design, component-scoped styling); comfort debugging in production.
  • Experience with React in real apps (not only tutorials)—hooks, composition, performance pitfalls.
  • Track record of shipping in small teams: scoping, estimating, and following through without heavy process.

Nice to have

  • Astro or another multi-page / islands-style framework.
  • Design systems or component libraries in a monorepo (pnpm, Turborepo, or similar).
  • Exposure to regulated or security-minded products (health, fintech, identity)—you don’t need to be a compliance expert, but you should care about safe defaults.
  • Familiarity with accessibility (WCAG-minded patterns, keyboard flows, semantic HTML).

How we work

  • Remote-first across US/Canada time zones; async-friendly with focused sync time.
  • Small team: your work is visible and tied directly to customer outcomes.
  • We bias toward clear UX and boring infrastructure where it matters for reliability and privacy.

If this sounds like your kind of problem space, we’d love to hear from you.
