PathwAI's Attentive integration runs through webhooks, not an Attentive-specific connector. An Ending step webhook posts each completed submission as JSON, and the Data Platform webhook destination posts each mapped event, to an HTTPS endpoint you run. That service calls Attentive with your own Attentive credentials, for example after a respondent agreed to receive text messages in the flow.
What data moves
- Ending webhook: The JSON body holds the submission ID, flow ID and a timestamp, plus the answers keyed by each step's custom key. The cart and the user profile are added when you include them.
- Webhook destination: mapped events with their name, timestamp, consent state and the properties a transformer allows.
- Your endpoint to Attentive: the phone number and fields you choose to pass.
Where it is configured
Ending step webhooks are under the Ending's Events → Exit. The webhook destination is under Data → Destinations → Webhook.
Use cases
SMS follow-up after an intake
Send the phone number of people who finished and agreed to texts, so your Attentive program can follow up.
Reminders for people who stopped
Forward flow_started and flow_completed so your endpoint can find people who started without finishing.
How to set it up
- Collect SMS consent in the flow with a Consent step or a clear checkbox, before you send anyone to Attentive.
- Run an HTTPS endpoint that accepts JSON and calls Attentive.
- Add a webhook on the Ending step, or a Webhook destination under Data → Destinations, pointing at that endpoint.
- Choose which fields to send and test with a completed run.
Good to know
- Ending webhooks run on PathwAI's server once, when a respondent reaches an Ending step and the submission completes. They are not retried, and the request times out after 10 seconds, so the receiving service should answer quickly.
Attentive integration FAQ
Does PathwAI subscribe people to Attentive directly?
No. A service you run receives PathwAI's webhook and calls Attentive.
How should SMS consent be collected?
In the flow, with a Consent step or a dedicated checkbox your team words, and only those who agree should be passed on.
Can I send only the phone number?
Yes. Use selected fields mode on the Ending webhook, or a transformer on the webhook destination.
