PathwAI's Mixpanel integration brings Mixpanel tracking from your website into the PathwAI Data Platform. The Mixpanel mirror script wraps your existing Mixpanel calls, such as track, identify and people.set, and sends a copy of each to PathwAI while Mixpanel keeps receiving them as before. A drop-in SDK is also available that answers to the mixpanel global and sends calls to PathwAI instead.
What data moves
- Website to PathwAI: track, track_pageview, identify, alias, register, register_once, unregister and reset calls, plus people.set, set_once, unset and increment.
- PathwAI stores tracked events, profile $set and $set_once updates, and aliases.
- Nothing is sent from PathwAI to Mixpanel.
Where it is configured
Data → Sources → Add Mixpanel mirror creates the source and its write key, which starts with mpm_. The mirror script loads from your PathwAI runner domain under /signal.

How to set it up
- In PathwAI, open Data → Sources and choose Add Mixpanel mirror.
- Copy the mpm_ write key it creates.
- Add the mirror script after your Mixpanel snippet and call pathwaiMirror with the write key.
- Load a page with Mixpanel tracking and confirm the events arrive in the source.
Good to know
- people.increment is accepted but not stored.
- Anonymous Mixpanel distinct IDs do not always map one to one to PathwAI visitors.
