PathwAI's CarePortals integration connects a flow to a CarePortals store. Respondents can sign up or log in to CarePortals inside the flow, pick products from the live CarePortals catalog, and go on to the store's buy page. A Create Consultation action turns their answers into a consultation in CarePortals for a provider to review, matched to the patient by email.
What data moves
- CarePortals to PathwAI: the product catalog, read each time the Product Selector step opens, so names and prices always match the store.
- PathwAI to CarePortals: sign-up details (email, first name, last name and date of birth) when a patient registers.
- PathwAI to CarePortals: the consultation, with answers mapped to CarePortals question fields and the consultation type.
- PathwAI to the store: the product ID on the /buy/<product id> link when the Buy button is on.
Where it is configured
The CarePortals organization is set under Settings → Integrations → CarePortals. The CarePortals Sign Up, Sign up / Login and Product Selector steps are added in the flow editor, and Create Consultation is an action under a step's Events, usually on the Ending's Entry.

From questionnaire to consultation
An HRT or weight-loss program runs intake in PathwAI and creates the consultation in CarePortals for its providers to review.
Product choice inside the flow
Show the catalog as cards and route on the product picked, or on the cart total, in the Logic tab.
End the funnel at the store
Turn on Buy button on the last step, and the patient goes to that product's buy page on the same domain the flow runs on.
How to set it up
- Set the CarePortals organization under Settings → Integrations → CarePortals.
- Add a CarePortals Sign Up or Sign up / Login step before any step that creates a consultation, since the patient is matched by email.
- Add a Product Selector step. Leave the product ID filter empty to show the whole catalog, or list the IDs to show.
- On the Ending step, add CarePortals → Create Consultation under Events → Entry, pick the consultation type and map answers to CarePortals fields.
- Preview with a test patient. Previews run the actions, so they create real consultations for the patient they sign in as.
Good to know
- Each flow run creates at most one consultation of each type, even if the step runs again.
- The store sells one product per page, so with Buy button on, checkout uses the first product picked.
- Once a patient goes to the buy page, they leave the flow. Ask everything you need before that step.
CarePortals integration FAQ
Are product prices copied into the flow?
No. The Product Selector reads the CarePortals catalog each time the step opens, so a changed price or name shows immediately without republishing.
How is a consultation matched to the patient?
By email. The patient must sign up or log in to CarePortals earlier in the same flow.
Can one flow create more than one consultation?
Yes. Add one Create Consultation action per consultation type. Each run creates at most one of each type.
