PathwAI's HubSpot integration runs through PathwAI's general outputs rather than a HubSpot-specific connector. An Ending step webhook posts each completed submission as JSON to a URL you choose, and the PathwAI submissions API lets your own service list and fetch submissions with an API key. Either one can feed a small service or automation tool that creates or updates HubSpot contacts.
What data moves
- PathwAI to your endpoint: The JSON body holds the submission ID, flow ID and a timestamp, plus the answers keyed by each step's custom key. The cart and the user profile are added when you include them.
- Your service to HubSpot: the fields you choose to map, such as email, name and which Ending the person reached.
- Nothing comes back from HubSpot into the flow.
Where it is configured
Webhooks are set on an Ending step, under Events → Exit. API keys are created under Settings → API Keys. Mapping answers to HubSpot properties happens in the service that receives the data.
Use cases
Only qualified leads reach the CRM
Give qualified respondents their own Ending step and attach the webhook there, so people who do not qualify never become HubSpot contacts.
A scheduled sync
A nightly job calls the submissions API for completed submissions and updates HubSpot in one batch.

Give each step a custom key such as goal or state, so the payload keys line up with the HubSpot properties you map them to.
How to set it up
- Decide what will write to HubSpot: your own service, or an automation tool that accepts webhooks.
- On the Ending step, open Events → Exit, add a webhook and paste that service's URL. Add an authorization header if the receiver needs one.
- Choose all answers or selected fields, and exclude any answer that should not reach the CRM.
- Publish, complete the flow once, and confirm the contact in HubSpot.
Good to know
- Ending webhooks run on PathwAI's server once, when a respondent reaches an Ending step and the submission completes. They are not retried, and the request times out after 10 seconds, so the receiving service should answer quickly.

Does the webhook write to HubSpot directly?
No. The webhook posts JSON to the URL you set. A service or automation at that URL maps the fields and calls HubSpot.
Can I keep health answers out of HubSpot?
Yes. Use selected fields mode, or list fields to exclude, so only the answers your CRM should hold are sent.
Can I pull submissions instead of receiving webhooks?
Yes. Create a key under Settings → API Keys with View submissions, then call GET /api/v1/submissions, which supports filters and cursor pagination.
