The Shen.AI Vitals step runs Shen AI's SDK against the respondent's camera for 30 seconds or one minute, then saves heart rate, heart rate variability, SpO2, stress index and breathing rate on the submission. Routing conditions can compare a single metric, and your team reads the values with the rest of the answers.
What data moves
- The measurement runs in the respondent's browser with Shen AI's SDK on a dedicated scan page, then returns them to the flow.
- Saved on the submission: heart rate, HRV, SpO2, stress index, breathing rate, signal quality and the time of the measurement.
- In workspaces with the PathwAI Biomarkers block enabled, the scan values can feed its health indexes, which PathwAI calculates itself.

Integrations → Shen AI holds the API key from Shen AI's admin console. The Shen.AI Vitals step is added in the flow editor, where you choose the metrics to collect and the length of the measurement.
